Welcome

Nigeria's home for young scientists and builders

A STEM-first college with laboratories, robotics and code on the timetable - preparing students for WAEC and for the future of work.

Academics

Small classes. Teachers who stay.

The two things that decide whether a child does well, and the two things we protect first.

Our community

Come and see for yourself

Visit on an ordinary working day. That is when you learn the most about a school.

A word of welcome

Welcome to Horizon STEM Academy. We are a school where every child is known by name — not a number on a register, and not a face in a crowd of forty.

We teach the Nigerian curriculum thoroughly and without shortcuts, in classes small enough that a teacher notices when a child is struggling in the same week it starts. Alongside the academic work we are unembarrassed about character: punctuality, honesty, and treating people well are taught here as deliberately as mathematics.

— The Head of School

Our school

Why families choose us

Small classes

Few enough students in a room that a teacher notices the week someone starts struggling, not the term after.

The curriculum in full

Taught thoroughly and to the end, not summarised in the last three weeks before an exam.

Teachers who stay

Qualified, trained and here long enough to know your child properly — the single thing that most affects how well they do.

Character, taught deliberately

Punctuality, honesty and treating people well are taught here as intentionally as any subject on the timetable.

Parents kept in the picture

Results, attendance and fee balances on your phone as they change. You should never have to ring the office to find out how your child is doing.

A safe, orderly campus

Supervised grounds, first aid cover, and a school day that runs to time because that is what makes children feel secure.

Inside the school

A day here, from the first bell

Registers marked before assembly, lessons that start on time, and work that comes back marked. The unglamorous things, done every day.

  • Attendance taken every morning, visible to you the same day
  • Scores entered by the teacher who taught the lesson
  • Results published to you the moment they are ready
